AFTER CARE

Leave the bandage on for 12-24 hours (preferably 24).

Wash your hands before caring for your tattoo.

After removing the bandage, wash your tattoo off in hot water (as hot as you can stand) for 15 minutes. Be sure to remove all particles of blood when washing.

Do not rebandage your tattoo.

24 hours after the initial wash, you can start using unscented, fragrance free lotion. Be sure to thoroughly rub in lotion or balm. Do not cake it on.

Use lotion sparingly, especially if the tattoo feels tight or itchy.

Do not use any products containing alcohol, lanolin or pertroleum.

NO swimming, bath tubs, hot tubs, saunas, hot springs or nylon tights for 14 days or until completely healed.

If your tattoo starts to itch; SLAP IT DON’T SCRATCH IT!!

We are happy to touch up tattoos within 90 days of getting it. Call the shop at 728-1191 to get scheduled!

If it is past 90 days, we charge our hourly rate to touch up tattoos.

Cartilage: Clean your piercing 2-3 times a day using Neilmed Sterile Saline. spray with saline 2-3 times per day. and dab the piercing on the front/back. Keep the jewelry in for 2 months minimum, if the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer. This piercing takes up to 9 months to heal. Try avoiding submerging your piercing in water for 2 months. Avoid sleeping on the ear for 2 months. We recommend changing the jewelry after 2 months for avoid pressure bumps forming around the piercing. Ear Lobes: Clean your piercing 2-3 times a day using Neilmed Sterile Saline. spray with saline 2-3 times per day. and dab the piercing on the front/back. Keep the jewelry in for 2 months minimum, if the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer. Try avoiding submerging your piercing in water for 2 months. Ear lobe piercings are usually fully healed after 2 months. Septum: Clean your piercing 2-3 times a day using Neilmed Sterile Saline. spray with saline 2-3 times per day. and dab the piercing on both sides. Keep the jewelry in for 3 weeks minimum, if the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer. Try avoiding submerging your piercing in water for 3 weeks. Nose: Clean your piercing 2-3 times a day using Neilmed Sterile Saline. spray with saline 2-3 times per day. onto a q-tip and dab the piercing on the inside/outside. Keep the jewelry in for 2 months minimum, if the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer. Try avoiding submerging your piercing in water for 2 months. Avoid sleeping on the ear for 2 months. We recommend changing the jewelry after 6 months to avoid pressure bumps forming around the piercing. Eyebrow: Clean your piercing 2-3 times a day using Neilmed Sterile Saline. spray with saline 2-3 times per day. and dab the piercing on the front/back. Keep the jewelry in for 3 weeks minimum, if the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer. Try avoiding submerging your piercing in water for 3 weeks. Avoid sleeping on the ear for 3 weeks. We recommend changing the jewelry after 3 weeks to avoid pressure bumps forming around the piercing. This piercing takes 2 months to fully heal. Tongue: Swish with Biotene or H2Ocean mouth rinse 3 times a day. Keep the jewelry in for 7 days then switch to a shorter bar to avoid excess length issues, if the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer. This piercing takes 2 months to fully heal. Lip: Clean the outside of the piercing with Neilmed Sterile Saline 2-3 times per day. Swish with Biotene or H2Ocean mouth rinse 3 times a day. Keep the jewelry in for 3 weeks then switch to a shorter bar to avoid excess length issues. If the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer. This piercing takes 2 months to fully heal. Navel: Clean your piercing 2-3 times a day using Neilmed Sterile Saline. spray with saline 2-3 times per day. onto a clean q-tip and dab the piercing on the inside/outside. Make sure to dry off the inside of the belly button after cleaning. Keep the jewelry in for 2 months minimum, if the piercing is still swollen, keep jewelry in for even longer.
